We are so honored to host this week's guest, a stand out guy that has contributed years to Northern Califonia scene and he does't look to be stopping anytime soon. A long overdue guest to WERD. We proudly present Raindance founder, one of the Westcoast favorite djs... Little John
Acid house steeped in disco with one foot in the ghetto and the other on the moon. Tempo usually throbs between 100 – 128 with the occasional jungle flashback .
As an ubiquitous fixture of Northern California’s music scene Little John is more than a DJ and an icon; he is a force of nature. An extraordinary DJ, producer, remixer, and music historian, Little John’s musical artistry transcends genres with an intensity, knowledge and savviness possessed by few. Whether he’s playing Tech-House, Mid-tempo, Future Bass, or Booty Slap, this innovator continually unites factions and taps new levels of creativity simply for the heart of it. With an acutely discerning ear and an open mind and heart, his ability to read a crowd and mix the perfect vibe truly sets him apart. His is a genuinely unique approach that will move body, mind, and soul.
His roots run deeply through the creative hot-bed of San Francisco’s mid 90’s underground House scene and the incredibly diverse Santa Cruz free party scene. He became a resident of the legendary 13 Moon Tribe while simultaneously pioneering production of the wildly successful Raindance events, which continue to run strong today.

WERD. presents special guest Cle Acklin aka CLE’. This year, Cle’ slayed the crowd at the much celebrated Sunset Campout during the “spooky, super trippy” Friday evening. Remember that? We surely didn’t forget.
For years, Cle’ has been respected as a talented producer, with tracks released on Black Cherry, Icon and his own Soundproof Records. Knowing Cle’s work and wide knowledge of American House Music, in addition to making Maki a Cle’ believer at the Sunset Campout we knew Cle’ would be an amazing featured guest at WERD. This night will make you feel the same.
Cle is originally from Dallas, Texas, currently residing in Northern California with his cat, Cle' enjoys riding his motorcycle. Cle’s been a passionate producer and DJ since the late 80's. During his SF residency, he was the owner and founder of Soundproof Music where he released XXX Heather and No Need To See in 2003. His release, State Of Mind on Fistfight Records, got major play in SF by every underground DJ and even had some international support. Cle’ also has music on DJ Heathers Black Cherry Records, Dirty Trick, and Icon. Let's kickstart the HOT August with BAD-ASS DJ, Sepehr!!!! His energy behind the deck and dance floor is always delightful and full of fun. His sound is sharp and driven, of course hella funky. WERDos, bring good dance shoes!
SEPEHR... its pronounced "se-pair"
Booming 808s fueled the day parties and weekend festivals spread across the San Francisco Bay Area that were Sepehr's stomping grounds. Driven by a desire to better understand this energy, he would dive deep into the underground culture of warehouses and sweaty basements pulsing to the beat of an even more evocative sound.
With this new world came a swell of knowledge that evolved Sepehr's sonic understanding. Intertwining this new foundation with past influences ranging from hip hop to post-hardcore allowed him to construct a sound all his own. His productions and DJ sets have synthesized the subtle nuances of minimal, the primal atmosphere of techno, and the ghetto sleaze of booty.
Sepehr has found his place whether it be on one of countless top 10 charts compiled by world class artists or on a festival stage in South America. His plethora of inspirations and ideas have already caused heads to turn globally, and will come together to shake dance floors for years to come alongside his seabound friends and family, Tech Dolphin.

Time to get back to WERD?!?!? Yep! This Sunday, our guest is DAVID SISKA. Siska is an admired underground hero who has inspired many here in San Francisco and Chicago where he started his Sonic Sunset radio show. We are so happy to be able to share his talents at WERD.
David Siska... There's a select few DJs who can sometimes go deep while spanning genres and eras - still keeping the flow and the floor intact. It's rare that Dave Siska doesn't play a set like this - a tribute to his time deeply involved in Chicago's sweat-drenched loft parties and burgeoning techno club scene, and his devotion to the sounds of Detroit and its most diverse DJs. He co-hosts the Sonic Sunset mixshow - which just celebrated its 15th year of taking in a wide swath of dance music, and through a scarcely definable but undeniable common thread, making it mean something as a unified whole.
